Investing capital or buying a property: how to choose
The two ways into a Caribea project, with their pros, their risks and a worked example.

At Caribea you can join a project in two ways. Neither is better than the other: it depends on what you’re looking for, your time horizon and how involved you want to be.
Investing capital
You put money into a club project and receive a 10% return in the first year and 12% in the second, exiting at 24 months. You don’t buy a specific home and there’s nothing to manage.
Example: with USD 100,000, at the end of the term you would receive USD 122,000: your capital plus USD 10,000 from year one and USD 12,000 from year two.
It suits you if:
- You want a fixed term and to know from the outset how much you’ll receive.
- You don’t want to deal with rentals, maintenance or resales.
- You’d rather diversify without tying your money to a single home.
Buying a property
You buy a specific home in one of our projects: a resort apartment or a villa with a pool. It’s yours, with its Certificate of Title, and you can use it, rent it out or sell it whenever you like.
It suits you if:
- You want your own place in the Caribbean for holidays.
- You’re interested in long-term holiday-rental income.
- You’re looking for the property to appreciate over the years.
For new builds, payment is split into a payment plan tied to construction progress, which you can follow in the app with reminders before each due date.
Both at once
Many members combine them: part in capital, with a short and known term, and part in a home for the long run.
What to bear in mind
- Every investment carries risk, including the loss of part or all of your capital.
- The exact terms of each project are in its participation or purchase agreement: read it with your adviser.
- When you buy a property, rental returns depend on occupancy, which is not guaranteed.
